Default my new project! /suggestions

Well ive been bored lately and this came up so i just took and went with it. The truck belong to guy a work with, it was a 94 ram 1500 5.2 4x4 with only 130k. i picked it up for cheap after it caught on fire(look at the pictures you will see) there was an electrical fire under the dash apparently

anyway, im in the process of tearing it down, all body everything, trashing the cab, selling the bed, possibly fenders, and what ever i can, my plan is to leave the chassis intact, axles and everything, pull the engine and tranny, stroke the 318 to a 390 and make it a power house, beef up the tranny(maybe 5 speed swap) and either build a custom off the frame, or pull an old jeep chassis i have at my parents place that is only a 4cyl. and make a BA dune buggy of sorts. possibly amateur offroad racing.

initial tear down is first, then taking the engine to the block, im thinking th e extent of the damage was to all the plastics and hoses, and im gonna need new valve covers, and all enw gaskets, but i dont want to leave it a 318, its a gonna be a long process considering im broke. but if has some good ideas im gonna have to time to through things around in my head and figure it out. the bulk of the damage was done to the cab.

i think its the third.i ahve mentioned it several times. but luckily it wasnt mine, i bought it like this, i needed somethine to do.

and yes Indy i probably will be askin lots of questions after i get the engine where i want it, or how i want it. im thinking stroke and cam with ported heads.... i really just want the most basic wiring possible, if you end up finding cheap wiring harnesses i would be interested!
