Default 47RE 48RE Tranny?

I just bought a 2000 Ram with the 318 engine. Which transmission do I have? It has the 4 speed automatic with electric overdrive override, (I think!) In any case it is all new to me having been a Ford guy all my life and I don't have a clue about numbers and models and nomenclatures.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

It is a 46RE.

4- 4 forward gears
6- Strength rating from 0-9
R- Rear wheel / 4 wheel drive
E- Electronically controlled

They put the 47RE behind the Cummins and V10. Not sure about the 48RE but I seem to remember something about them being behind the Cummins HO 600 ft-lb models...
