2" aftermarket springs/ 2.5" 2500springs
I have a few questions I am looking to raise my stock 99 1200 Quadcab 4x4 SB by about 2 in all around....nothing extreme. For the back i think ive decided to do a 2" add-aleaf. But the front is where im stuck. I dont love the way the front sits lower but i dislike worse (make any sense?) the way it looks with a 2" lift up front and no lift in the back so since i want to do the lift all around i was looking for a slightly more then 2" lift up front but not 3 or 4" so from what ive heard the 2500 springs are 2.5" taller then the factory 1/2 ton. So the combo of 2.5" springs in front and add-aleaf in rear i think is what i am going for "shocks all around aswell" My questions are as follows.
Does the 2500 springs raise it up 2.5"?
Is the ride going to be AS stiff as a 2500 or just stiffer then it is now?
What is a reasonable price at a junkyard "i have seen 2" leveling spring but they wanted 200 for a pair"
Are the springs going to be affected by damage to vehicle.I.E just make sure there strait?

Get some Daystar spring spacers or some other type. It will be listed as 2.5" block but it only lifts 2". As far as the add-a-leaf, go with a 1.5" or a 2" leaf. I have a Summit leveling spacer up front (2") and a 1.5" Summit add-a-leaf on rear. I also have air bags on the rear for hauling.
