Default Not getting an ignition spark

I can't turn my truck on. I pulled a plug and connected it to the wire and saw there was no spark when turned over.

Does anyone know where the Automatic Shutdown Relay is in te PDC? Because mmy truck automatically shut down when i had the fire.

Would there be no spark if the PCM was shorted during the fire? I don't want to spend 350 dollars on a new PCM if I don;t need to.

What else may I not be seeing.

Thanks,
Dan

Did you check the coil and its wiring?

I still had my old stock coil, so i put the stock coil on and there was still no difference. No spark on #1 plug that i had pulled...and yes i had the wire attached.

So i checked the coil. I wish parts/service would tell me which relay the ASD relay is. There is a mention of it in the Haynes, but it doesn;t show you.

THanks

pull your power distrubution box and look under it, it will tell you where the relay is. Check your coil and your battery.

Disreguad last. I saw where the relay was. Its not the relays or the coil. I changed all the fuese as well.

Is the PCM the last thing that can be causing no spark?

Thats right , make sure the wire going from the PCM to the disturburator make sure that not burnt , then follow from there to the coil.. if nothing is burnt looks good then its the PCM..

PA,
Ou are talking about the cam pos sensor right? Because the connector for that and the crank pos sensor are the same stle connector. However, one is white, and one is black (had to replace both of those since they were burned). So i just matched up the colors. Since i matched the colors, then i think the wiring is right.

I am gonna check the sensors.

Also, do i need to send B&G my original PCM ordo they provide one. In a 96you can't use a programmer. If my pcm was shorted, can B&G reflash it?

Cam position sensor controls fuel. Crank sensor controls spark.
