very true. I've worked on alot of different vehicles over the years (I've owned 10 cars so far) and only one of them had a factory installed drain plug. that would be the Jeep cherokee with the AW4 behind it. on the bright side the temp gauge sensor i installed will act as a drain plug. I just pull the sensor and it will let most of the fluid drain out

when i changed mine i loosened the bolts towards one corner of the pan and left the opposite corner bolt in and it wasnt that bad onlt a little bit missed the catch pan i got from advance
