I did a quick search and didn't see an answer. I have a Hypertech programmer model 50006 for a 2001 Ram with either the 5.2 or 5.9L. I am trading in the truck and will be returning it to the stock setup. I want to sell the programmer, but I want to make sure that whoever gets it doesn't have any problems. I know I would be ticked if I bought something like this and it didn't work. So if anyone can answer this let me know. Then I can feel comfortable posting it for sale. Thanks.

 

As long as you put it back to stock settings then it wont be VIN locked ,

Yep...if you select "yes" when it asks to return to stock, it will no longer be VIN locked. Otherwise, it will remain locked. It's so you don't run the same programmer on multiple vehicles.
