Default 1998 Ram 1500 Turn Signal stopped working

The turn signal from my truck stopped working last week. Before it went out, I could hear weird noise under the dash while turning the signal. Now, it is completely dead, no indcators and no blinkers (both left and right). However, the emergency (4-way) is working fine. All the fuses checked out OK. There is only one flasher in the fuse box. This flasher is clicking when I turned on the 4-way switch (emergency). Is this the same flasher for the turn signal? Please help.

I'd be interested to hear the outcome on this. It sounds like your flasher is dead. I'm having a similar problem, but it only occurs when I use my right turn signal. I'm just not quite sure what to tell you.

There is separate flashers for tur signals and hazard lights.
Zique, check and see if one of your right side bulbs is burned out. I have had that cause what you describe.

Thanks for the tip. That was the first thing I checked though. The thing that is wiggin' me out is that the backup lights flash w/ the right flasher as well, but I've already verified that there aren't any crossed wires.
