No. It is a crock.

All it is is a resistor that you can buy at radioshack and do yourself for less than a couple bucks. And after a while the computer "learns" the new input and adjusts, so it may result in a tad of temporary gain, but in the end you'll end up back where you are now.

 

I wonder how often that guy puts five bucks in his pocket from that crap.

 

That does actually work, however you can make it yourself for about $2 bucks with stuff from radioshack. Lots of 3rd gen Dakota guys have been doing something similar and call it the "power wire" mod, it fools the computer into thinking there is cooler air coming into the engine than what actually is.

 

Yep, cheap resistor...that's all. There out there for every make, model and type (even sportbikes)
