I actually have two questions.

I own a 97 1500 with a 5.2 4x2. It's a daily driver and also used to haul around a 16ft tandem axle trailer full of lawnmowers, sod, pavers, etc.. you name it. Well after a long hard 125k miles the tranny is slipping really bad.[:-]
Should I get it rebuilt, buy a rebuilt or kick it up a notch and go with some decent performance parts?[8D]

If I upgrade the tranny and hoping that the engine isn't too worn out itself, (still seems to run strong) I was thinking it would be nice to upgrade a few other things like; the pulleys, headers, tb, and ignition. I already have a borla and fipk, (hey it was a start back in the day). Any particular brand names I should be looking at?
