Default lift question

hi, my truck currently has a 3 inch suspension lift, complete with new control arms. Herelately as my tires are beginning to get worn out, i was beginning to think that i want to go bigger. Do you think that I can put 5 inch springs, or 2 inch spacers on my 3 inch kit without new control arms. I know i will also need a drop pitman arm, but right now i am just thinking about the springs

No, if you raise the suspension anymore then 3 inches , you'll need new control arms. You could do a 2" or 3" body lift instead. That's what I did, and I am happy with it overall. More easily gives me the freedom to go back to just 3" if I want to in the future.

Those are likely not any different the the stock arms. My 3" arms were only 1/8" different then stock. You will need different arms for anything 5" an over.

i am not running a sway bar, and i would probably just make longer break lines myself, i am just wanting to add probably one of those 2" spacer leveling kits, i do not want to go with a body lift because of all the modifications to the linkages and wires and stuff that would have to be done. I also measured my new control arms from center to center the bolt holes on mine are about 3/4 of an inch longer then thestock ones

Post this question over on Pavementsucks. There are tons of guys who could help you with this one over there. I've not run a 5" suspension lift yet, so i'm not sure what to tell you about your arms.
