Where can I buy a new Stock Y-Pipe Assembly??
Well since I bought some headers that should bolt directly to the stock y-pipe and my y-pipe is rusty and nasty looking, I would like to geta new y-pipe assembly. As is, I have the stock headers/y-pipe welded up to the rest of my exhaust. I mainly just need the tubing that connects the headers to the rest of the exhaust pipe. I know on hottexhaust.com they have an assembly that includes a catalytic converter, and if it comes to that I might get it. However, I would just like to get some new piping and new connectors to butt up to my headers when I get them. Anybody have any good ideas? I checked Summit and JC Whitney and couldn't find anything, so any suggestions would be much appreciated. I don't want to spend a lot of money though. If everything is too expensive I may try and get someone to make me something locally. Thanks guys.
I would forget the stock y pipe and have an exhaust shop bend you a new one. My stock y pipe "kinks" in at the bends. An exhaust shop with a mandrel can bend you pipes without kinking them. No kinks = better flow.
Maybe check like Advance Auto Parts, Napa, or Fisher Auto Parts a store like that. The dealer is another place if you want to pay what is probably big $ for it.
Then like said above you could always have one custom bent.

The stock y sucks not only in quality, but is a **** poor design to begin with.
Thanks a lot guys. I will probably just get one of the guys locally to bend some pipe up for me. I'm going to have to get someone to weld it all up to my existing pipe so that'll probably be the best idea.I guess I would need to get the flange connectors or what ever they are called welded onto the pipe as well so I can bolt the headers up to them right? I looked for some of those but couldn't find any either. I don't know the exact term for them, so that is probably part of the problem. What do you guys think, should I stick with the x-pipe in there, replace it with an h-pipe, or buy a high flow cat and just "Y" it straight out the back w/out the mufflers? I know that after I put the x-pipe on it really quietened it down a lot compared to straight pipes, seems like more of a restriction. And then the Flowmasters quietened it even more, but gave it a nice tone. I'd like it to be louder and as deep as possible. Any suggestions?
try www.lmctruck.com i know they have them for other trucks but im not 100 percent positive they them for dodges
