Just figured i'd bring my support for the 5.2's since they seemed to be lacking support. Sure indy's ram would smoke my truck... but saying that a 5.9 is better than a 5.2 isn't always true. Thats all I was trying to show jason.w Not claiming my truck could beat anyone elses truck except for my buddy's truck cuz we were messing around.

 

i have to totaly dissagree here boys, i had a 98 ram 1500 with a 5.2 with like 65k miles well maintaned, and it was a pig of a truck, couldent tow for crap, i traded it within the first year of owing it for my 98 2500, and it would out tow my 5.2 2to1.

Wow, you're saying that yours is more modded than mine, therefore you could beat me? No kidding! I never said if I raced, my barely modded 5.9 could beat any 5.2. And the 5.2 and 5.9 are "pretty much the same"? You're right. Chrysler should have never offered the 5.9, the 5.2 is good enough for everything you'd ever need a V8 for.

Haha, well... well to recap where I was comming from, i just couldnt understand how a 5.2 is such a dog while a 5.9 is like night and day aparently. exp in gold's eyes. I am no way trying/attempting/or succeeding in trying to brag. Nor would I care anyway if I can beat a 360. I just threw that out that because it did happen tho. I dont have a modified engine at all for the record. That pretty much takes care of it. I'm done

First, I want to say sorry to Neon (dodgeram360) yeah I was an *******. I bet that truck is fun to drive and if I saw it in person I may apreciate it more. So I was an *** an can admit it.

2. The 5.9 blows the 5.2 away hands down. I wanted a >$5000 work truck and am hapy with what I got. It is the only truck I have ever owned. I like it the same way everyone here likes their trucks. I also think 4x4s are superior to 4x2's. I just don't have the need or the want to go through engines and parts like I used too. Seeing that I live next to a spillway, my truck would be in it everyday. I used to skip school to go mudding. I love 4x4s but thats why I got a ATV.

My choice in trucks wasn't a choice, I got what was there and its been good to me. Of course the 5.9 is better than the 5.2. Some 4x4 drivers look down on trucks that don't have 4x4, just like I couldn't imagine having a truck with no back seat.

With the rising fuels costs I don't think anyone here can claim a 4x4 5.9 does better than a 5.2 4x2. Look we all have 2nd gen Rams, I regret the disconnect that has arised from this thread. We should team up and direct our attention to the real lessor trucks, the Dakotas.............

 

Nolazach, I want to apoligize as well. I should of been more ready to hear what dodge guys were going to think of a FORD lol. Sorry for getting so personal, I really hate being a dick. It's just something I've always had an issue with, but I'm working on it. I've also been a real dick lately because of my truck being gone so long. Just ask my brothers lmao, they've noticed.

 

01DodgeRam360- every thread u make goes over like 10+ pages.. why? b/c your disrespectful, u talk **** and ur always talking **** about how good ur **** is, or this weird obistion with ur bro and his truck. Dude stop acting like a e-thug and growup.

Also all the **** u like to talk about your truck, just starters u got a 01, put like a 5' lift on it, 35's rims, some tent and liek exost. Thats not alot of ups and only like 4Grand worth of ups. On top of that a 5.9L is a work horse not a speed demon.

 

Ya see, that's being irrational right there. I'm not the one who makes my threads epic stories. People just seem to get drawn towards them. People don't have to write in my threads. That's not fair to say that about me either. Especially in this thread. This was truly a genuine thread, and there was no reason for it to become dirty. I did nothing to cause it to be negative AT ALL. Part of growing up is just accepting when somebody comes out and apoligizes. You are just a tad off your timing in coming in and saying this, why would you attack me like that when I was ready to move on. I'm not an ******* to guys on this forum. Sure I can be, but we all can be, this is a testy group no doubt. But to just pinpoint me, that's unfair. I don't know why your trying to underestimate my truck either, I never brag about it, people just tell me it's nice. Besides, I don't see what's wrong with wanting to show off a piece of pride either. Like I said, not only is that truck done up, but to what it was when we got it, it's a true rags to riches truck, so I have a lot of pride with it. People just get way too offended with me. I'm not a ******** at all. I have a little bit of a temper issue, but everyone here does. At least I'm willing to come out and say it.

As I said, I never ask for my threads to be long. People just tend to be drawn to them, and I'm fine with that. But almost all of my threads start off genuine, and they are left up to the members on the forum to make them negative or positive, end of story. It can be easy for people to want to attack me, but I don't know what else to say, I'm a guy who loves his dodge, and loves his brothers ford (was OUR truck before I owned my own truck)...so relax and just take into account. I can't help that I'm a passionate guy, and I'm working on trying to channel it into all positive vibes. If I offend people, it's not my mission, and I apoligize for it, but some of you guys have just got to get off my case and focus on the threads and the trucks more, it's a bit much at times..

 

Its not that done up, your brothers truck is nothing to brag about.....I like fords, I'm not a die hard dodge fan...My 1500 does what i need it to do but if i ever get a truck again its going to be a cummins......I would bet my truck that if we walked around new york with a picture of your truck and a picture of your brothers truck yours would be picked as the better looking 9 out of 10 times...I don't understand why you have a fetish for your brothers truck but we all LOOKED at it and take the compliment that yours is better looking.......As for the 5.2 vs 5.9 another dumb arguement but i'll jump in here and say you can feel the difference 5.2 vs 5.9 no matter what anyone says...
And to get one thing straight......
