HAHA. But yeah she's got the manual locking hubs up front, love it. She also has those dual gas tanks, and my god does that thing suck fuel. Its way worse than my truck and he has only 265s for tires. But a lot of people discount it because it gas, but that's actually whats really cool about it. Just because its gas doesnt mean it lacks power. That 460 roaring is incredible, it's very stout. I have never seen it fail. I remember in highschool when all the hill billys wanted a piece of that thing. So we had a big truck pulling contest (only one day cause we didn't want to be abusive). The f-350 went up against an 02 chevy 2500 duramax, the 460 prevailed. Then another idiot with an 8.0L v10 2500 wanted a piece of mike too. But guess who prevailed in that one too? Haha yeah, the beast. I was very impressed. We're still lookin for someone with CTD to try, but until then its not confirmed. He does want bigger tires, but the thing as is gets 7mpg, so it will only get worse. But I think he will still get 285s, should be the right size tire for that truck. I love it though. Square body style, huge engine, loud as hell, and have yet to see it fail. It's hardly a turd though, the truck is abundantly powered, not to mention it really hauls *** too lol. It's a classic powerhouse, you guys would like it too if you saw it in person, it's defiantly a siteful when you see her shining down the road with its perfect black paint and all of it's chrome while shes just roaring away with that dumptruck of an engine

No I gotcha, just don't like those boxes, you can shove a mean engine in anything. I have seen a pinto with a blower, a PINTO.
Anyway headlights and headers aside its a FORD. Sad thing is in ten years it will probably be worth more than your truck.
Damn bad Chrysler resale values.

I spent so long working on the dodge I haven't had time for the projects. Then I have to fix the window on the buick and a hood for the e38.

i like it, the tail lights are wicked gay, other then that its not bad. and if i had to choose between your truck and the ford i'd pick the ford. im not a big fan of 1500 rams myself so thats the reason why.
Are you talking about my truck or his truck? If your talking about his truck, it wasn't really a running issue. When we went to install the headers, we found there was a chip in his casting of the head. So a little job became into a nightmare of a job. We had to have both heads taken out and sent to a machine shop. One of them was repaired and then both were replaned. While the engine was all opened up, we put together as much as we could to throw some performance goodies in her. So we bought a performance camshaft with a double rolling chain, along with bigger valves and lifters. We also replaced his water pump, and replaced his timing chain. He also advanced his timing to 93 octane. After the heads were put back in, they were then able to put his doug thorley tri-y headers up against his true dual. And man, she really is insane now. I just think it's a really cool truck. There isn't any other truck out there like that. Maybe I'm just bias because I know it's past and I've always usually liked fords, but everywhere we go people are just drooling over his truck. Some people even think its a newer truck. But most people appreciate it for its age and how brand new it looks, you got to love that.
But yeah GoldPro, I agree. I always was a 3/4 ton to 1 ton truck liker myself. But when I was buying a truck I just knew I didn't have a use for one. I think it would have been retarded for me to be driving around a heavy heavy *** truck slurping all that gas for nothing. You can do everything in a 1500 than you can with a 2500 and a 3500 besides TOWING, which I hardly do. I leave that job to bigfoot lol. For his tail lights, there really wasn't any other options though. Red looks retarded, and altezzas are queer, so we just went straight clear in the back with the LEDs. But he may decide to put some smoked tail covers on like me. Either way I do love both of our trucks though, they both have some neat and special qualities about them. And they sure make a scene around here[8D]

But for you who might haul some wood or something and an ocassional quad in the bed id say a 1/2 ton is fine.
Exactly. I'm like your borderline truck owner. Really I have a huge passion for mustangs and gtos etc. But I didn't want a car, they aren't realistic for me. I wanted a truck, but a real truck. Not some queer nissan titan, or a ranger, or a colorado etc. I've always liked trucks and big engines, its just in my blood. But as much as a car is not realistic for me, so isn't a 3/4 ton- 1 ton lol. Hardly do I need to tow anything substantial. The most I towe is my lawn trailer during the summer or snowmobiles and quads. All of the other real loads like the skid-steers and the excavators go to my brothers truck. I love having a full size truck though. It comes in handy all the time for me. You can go to the hardware store and get the mulch, the concrete, the salt, the shovels, or tow snowmobiles, four wheelers, or a woodchipper, but it pretty much stops right there, and it'd of been dumb of me to get something I had no use for. But I love the big boys, but I just didn't need one. I wish having a half ton meant you would get better mpgs though, I'm lucky when I'm in the 10s, but I just loving a v8 truck
