Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks, ...best price??
I'm looking into shocks for my 97...
I've narrowed my decision down to either the Bilsteins or thePerformer IAS's
Bilsteins are a little cheaper, ...but the Edelbrocks seem a bit better. (...just an opinion I know).
Specifically looking at the Edelbrocks, ...what is the best price you've seen them at, ...and where? (cost, shipping, tax, ....the total)
The best I've seen is $305.36 (www.ajusa.com) free shipping, ...no tax.
(If anyone knows of a recent Promo code for this site, ...I'd be interested
, ...to knock off even a little more)
Thanks,
Kevin

If you're not in a huge hurry some bigger places like Autozone, Pepboys, or thie like run a buy 3 get one free deal, you just have to hit them right.
As Far as recent codes just search the site name + coupon codes and if there's anythign out their Google will usually catch it within the 1st 3 pages or so.

i heard from someone who bought them (IAS)that they make the ride horrible. Are they the same as the extreme travel shocks? Because those extreme travel shocks are the ones i am talking about. I know edelbrock makes them and someone told me they are just for off roading and kills the street ride.
I love my IAS performers. Truck doesn't roll near as much on highway banked corners. This 2wd never goes off road except maybe to jump a median once in a while.
Thanks for the replies... (and the heads up on the Autozone, etc. sales, I'll keep my eyes open)
The Edelbrock "Extreme" IAS is more for a lifted/offroad application, ...different (valving?)than the Edelbrock "Performer" IAS.
I spent some time searching for the coupon codes yesterday, ...some expired ones, ...but none active.
As for what shocks are 'good' vs. 'bad', ...do a Google search "Edelbrock IAS vs. Bilstein" (for example), ...I did, the feedback varies greatly. (re: https://dodgeforum.com/m_1208350/tm.htm)
Anyway, ...I ordered the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks yesterday. Since I've dealt with AutoAnything.com before, ...I called and they price matched the site above. There is a 1 year price guarantee, ...so if they show up cheaper, AutoAnything will refund the difference.
