Default Strange light issue

Came home today and saw my interior ceiling light on. I though "maybe i left the headlight **** turned" but checked and the **** was in the off position. Also checked all the doors and they were shut. I'm stumped, it somehow came on voluntarily, so I pulled the bulb out as to not drain the battery. any suggestions? thanks

i'm just guessing - i'd guess either the door switch is broken/malfunctioning/shorting, or maybe it controls a relay which has gotten stuck. you might shoot some wd40 in the switches and press/release it a couple dozen times to 'rejuvenate it'. or look in the power dist box under the hood and see if there's a relay that controls it. or.. the dome light swith on the dash is shorted out, letting power through that pin. to test you could pull the switch out and test with a voltage tester.
