Truck is in the shop for the 3.9 - 5.9 Swap.. and a performance cam.

Then its gonna get..

- Keyless Entry, Keyless Start, and Alarm
- Tinted Windows, and NEw Boss 12's, 5.25's, with a 7' touch screen.
- Dual Super 44's Dumped, With High flow cat, 2.5 Pipe
- Shorty Headers
- Fastman
- Cold Intake
- Body Accecories such as.. Bull guard, Light Bar, Grille Inserts, Custom Grille, Roll pan, Cowl Induction, Nerf Bars, Headlights, Tailights, 3rd Brake Light..
- Black paint, High Gloss.

Well things that are deffinetly happening this summer
-3" suspension lift
-15" wheels, and 33x12.5 or 33x14.5 tires
- Maybe a winch bumper for the front, hopefully the back as well but that's pushing it

Next summer
- Finding a wrecked 2500, and using it for a donor truck
If I get a 2500 with a 5.9 I'm only stealing the tranny (hopefully manual), transfer case, axels and steering.
If I find one with a cummins in it for a reasonable price I'll swap everything.

Once the 1-ton axels are on I'll get some lockers for it.

I don't think I'll go and bigger than 37 inch tires while she's still my daily driver, but someday when I decide to get a newer truck this one will be full off road, then let the fun begin...

 

We have some snow here too, so I won't be doing anything for a month or so until the temps come up. And I just got new ball joints and u-joints in the front, so there goes the money I was going to use for my electric fans and LSD. Not to mention the purchase of my wife's new laptop... sheesh. Right when you think you have the money for something, wham!

So, anyway, some of these will be delayed a bit, but here's the list:

1. Fastman 52mm Throttle Body (ordered)
2. Full tune up (distributer cap, wires, etc.)
3. Limited Slip Differential
4. Electric Fans

After those, we'll see what else I want.

motorbrreathKeep us posted on the black grill, which one did you go with? I have found them from $25 up to $400 & have been having troubles deciding. Did it come with the Ram insignia?

 

Well after having to do the 5.9 in mine I guess I am keeping it for a while so here is the list.

I will document the install of all of this on my site for those who are interested.

 

Swapping the 3.9 with the 5.9 is running me about 1500.. which in my opinion is very good.. considering its with a very respectable company.. Gear Heads, a custom high performance shop. Thats only including the install and a new Drive shaft. Everything else i had already purchased.. like the mounts, ECU, Wiring harness, and tranny.

 

I am interested in the black grill. I have a gray ram, debating on going black or going with matching paint. my chrome grill has a huge bubble in it, it annoys me.
