Keyless Entry??
i just got done puttin the stock power lock and window system in mine the hardest part was mounting the window regulators but with time it came as far as the wiring went it was easy i think i had to run like 10 wires which aint that bad. now for putting in the keyless with what your sayin is u will prolly need a CTM and get it programed with the transmitter. since you had stock power locks you should just be able to just switch the modules and get it programmed but im not 100% i do know they have three CTMs that they put in the trucks and the only one without keyless is the one for the trucks with no power thats what im basing on. now if you go with and aftermarket system you will have to wire up two relays to the lock wires that connect from each acutator i think its the orange/black stripe and the pink/black stripe wires which will run the locks then have a relay wired to the lights and another for the horn. if you know how to wire a relay its really easy i did my first one on my first project car and it was hard back then until i learned how to wire the relays if you message me i could prolly dig up the wiring diagram but im not 100% sure if i can still find it.
hope this helps

When I got my truck I sent for the build sheet as many here have & saw that it was equipped with keyless entry but a key fob was not included. I looked on ebay & found the correct one for $14 but then found out that the dealer needed to program the remote which after a call to the dealer the price was like $86 which pissed me off.
I started looking around for an alternative, Bulldog security did a 2 way keyless entry with remote start & it also had a spare channel because it has a button for popping the trunk which being a truck was not needed but I also found a latching relay setup that is an option for Viper alarms & sold separately.
Bottom line is for $100 which is about what it would have cost for the factory key fob I now have keyless entry, remote start & the unused circuit that I added the latching setup to now triggers the relay for my off-road lights. This may seem strange but let me explain, I live in a national forest & there are no street lights with very dense trees so if I hear a noise in front of the house I hit the button & can see all the way up my street from the house & have scarred away may coyotes & 1 bear.
Having the remote start has been so nice, when it snows instead of going out to start the truck to let it warm up & then scraping off the snow & ice. I can start it from the warmth of the house & as long as I remembered to turn on the defroster on high the night before, after a few mins of running I can go up & slide the snow/ice off of the windshield & hood in 1-2 pushes.
Just thought I would share this with you.[/align]

ya if you have power locks, your bcm (under dash right of stering colum) should be able to reconize your key fob assuming you have the right one.if not you will have to replace your bcm.mine had gone wakky after my freind crossed jumppers,so i had 2 get a new one and now key fob dont work.i tryed reprograming with the diy directions but dont work.so ive been told i have to go to the dealer.if i have to pay what my1500 said ill b pist to im just gonna what till it gets warm and the dealers leave the geroge open and im gonna goin and slip a mech a cuple bucks to doit
Thanks for all the replies, I think I am just going to buy the factory remote off ebay and HOPE that the "bcm" can recognize it, I guess the worst that can happen is I will have to get a new bcm... Depending on the price of the bcm (IF i need a new one) I think I will just go ahead and get a remote start system, I do like the idea and if I do that Ill just re-sell the factory key fob on ebay....
