I'm only up to 89k, but i'm planning to drive this 318 till it won't go anymore, then probably put in a new engine and do it again as long as the frame and body hold up around it. Just too expensive to buy a new truck, no matter how bad I want a CTD. For the same $50k that new 2500's cost, i'm sure I can keep my truck on the road for a long time to come. I just might run out of ideas on what to mod.

You know if you had that $50k ride, you'd be modding it to so you can go ahead and tack that on. Nice think about the route you're talking about is that you're already modded. Even if you go 5.9, just trade the 50 in on a 52, cut the runners back a little more, get a built block and a good set of heads, and your back in business. Too many unecessary buttons in the new stuff anyway. We just bought a 08 Caravan. That thing is like a spaceship.

I only have 77k right now, but this truck will be willed away- never sold.

I bought my '01 Ram 1500 the summer of 2006. It was my graduation present to myself for cramming a 5-year college degree into 4 years. The truck only had 16,000 miles on it! I stole it for only $12K. It's got 33K miles on it now, and the only things I've had to fix are the gas cap and reflashing the computer.

I take pretty good care of my vehicles. I'm planning on driving the 318 until it dies, then building up a killer 408 stroker to put in instead.

Nice, that was a steel. About 6 years ago, I paid 19k for mine with 28k on the odometer.
