Do a search on the web. I got an inline harness adaptor for my '97, made it MUCH easier to install. Just take the bottom cover off the column, unplug the flat harness, and plug the T-harness inline. Takes care of all that. Not sure where I got mine from, it's been a year, maybe check Ebay...

The mfg of the remote starter should have a web site with wiring diagrams for your particular truck. I know Bulldog along with another popular remote starter mfg( can't remember the name of it right now) have their own sites with this info.

I found wiring diagrams at http://www.designtech-intl.com. These were not 100% accurate but the installation guide does walk you through testing which lines do what. I did my 01 Ram 1500 and it was pretty easy. Good luck

The black/yellow is the correct wire. A lot of times, the parking light flash feature can be turned on/off. Check manual that came with your unit and see if you have to activate it.
