I have removed my cat on my truck and the service engine lite came on as i thought .Is there any trick to making it not come on at all?

 

ya,now you dont have an o2 sencer.but before i tell you what you need and where to go howw did you do it.did you replace your y pipe,or just cut it out and put a pipe in its place.do you notice more power or is your foot in the theottle more for the sound.

Are you sure the its the SEL light not the CEL light?

 

ya it is the check engine light that is on .I still have the two o2 sensorsjust no cat . the cat was plugged so there is a gain in power.

 

Just put some O2 simulators in there and it should fix the problem.

 

Only the rear 02 sensor can be simmed. The front one controls your fuel mixture.

 

Yeah I was curious about that Cereal, if you modify the first o2, don't you risk the chance of running very, very rich while idling horribly?

Your gas mileage will likley get cut down to about 2/3 of what it use to be.

 

some cat nip should make it come back.
