Default where to get the best rebuilt tranny?

funny how the vast majority of these posts seem to be related to these tranny problems! i have a 97 4x4 with the 360 automatic in it. where would you guys recomend i buy a transmission? i've checked ebay and a company has them on there pretty cheap. by the time i pay the shipping and the core etc, i am thinking i'd be better off taking it to a cottman or aamco transmission place or something like that. what do you guys recomend???

Cottman is the WORST THING you could EVER do for your truck. I have had some horrible expierences with them and one of them ended up in court. Long story short...you'd be best off spending the extra $$ and getting yourself a nice JASPER tranny in my oppinion. Jasper is top shelf and they back their products with a great warranty. I have used 2 JASPER engines and 3 transmissions and they were flawless.

Just my $0.02
