Default Diagnosing Help

I've attempted the searches but haven't found much

Couple problems:
When merging into traffic or onto the highway I'll give it some gas and the truck will hesitate and then rev up to 3000-3700 rpm but I won't be picking up speed much faster than a normal acceleration. Other times I'll get on the gas and the truck will take off.

A related problem (I think)
When driving the truck will shift real smoothly and then other times it will be significantly rougher while driving the same way.

I noticed this noise the other day, was driving up a slight incline at about 45 mph and stepped on the gas some more and there was an almost fluttering sound coming from the front of the truck, let off the gas and the noise stopped, back on the gas and it came right back. Road leveled out and the sound went away. Usually only does it now when slowly accelerating from about 40-55mph.

Thanks for all your help guys

Not sure but I'd get the tranny checked.

Also check your Throttle position Sensor.
