How to tint back window?
Right now I have 5% tint over the factory 20% or whatever it is on my back windows on my truck. On the side ones where you have tint on the other side it looks great. You can't see in at all really unless you cup your hands at the windows and you really can't even see in then. Even at night with a light on you can barely see in. Well I love that look and thought on the rear window 5% over the factory tint would make it dark. Well, the problem is that the windshield lets soo much light in. It barely looks any darker than it did before with just the factory tint. You can still see through it perfectly fine. It looks tinted but not black at all. Overall I'm not super thrilled with it like I thought I would be. I really don't want to be able to see in at all from the outside.
What did you guys do with your rear windows?
Would another layer of 5% on top fix this? Is my only option to get the windshield tinted? I don't really want to do that as not only is it illegal I'd like to be able to see out of my windshield.
Any ideas on what to do here? Overall I guess I just thought it would be darker and am not super thrilled. I have 35% on the front two windows and 5% on all the rear and honestly the windshield lets in so much light it makes the rear look like the 35%. Maybe darker but not a ton.

You say you have 35% on your front two windows, and I think that might be a problem. I have 5% all the way around on mine and yeah the front windshield does let way to much light in, but also if your front windows are only 35% they are also letting way too much light in. I would tint your front windows down to 5% and see what happens. Here is what mine looks like.

Most windshields have small dash marks on them towards the top that indicate how much you can legally tint it, anything below those lines is considered illegal.

Can I ask WHY you need complete blackness from head on?
I'm gonna about GUARANTEE YOU, that every cop you drive past, during the day, is gonna pull you over, if you do that...
I have 5% over the stock rear tint, and then 20% on the door windows (illegal) and it's dark enough for me...
Deal with it, or you're gonna have to pull it off, anyways...
