Default exhaust

this was just flying threw my head, im going to get a new truck tommorrow and it alrady has 3 in pipe for the exhaust but since i want to make it a 426 stroker i am considering doing the 4 inch pipe, Heres my plan (longtube headers and right away after the headers i want to put the 4 inch pipe with no cat but still with the o2 sensors {unless i can take them off with one of those o2 simulators so i wont go thew the trouble of drilling the holes} and i found a flowmaster 40 series with a 4 inch inlet and 4 inch outlet and still want to keep running the 4 inch exhausr all the way thru the bumper.

I want to know if i will lose power by doing this setup?

New truck is:
1995 Dodge Ram 1500
5.9 Don Garlits "Big Daddy" Edition

Why not just dump it right after the 40's, or out the side before the wheels? As far as power, unless you plan on running TT's, yeah, chances are your low end will suck hard. Cool project but how the hell can you afford to fuel a 426?

Yeah, low end is dead to you in that case. Biggest I'd go on a 5.9 is 3", 2.5" for 5.2. Maybe a 4" will give you some good hp on top but street driving must suck.

4" exhaust is too big for a naturally-aspirated setup. In fact, I'd say it's too big for a turbocharged/supercharged setup (unless it's a diesel).

I've seen some drag queen Supra's with massive single turbos run as much as 5" but they make some 1500hp. Go with some 3", most performance shops have that and it won't cost as much as custom 4".
