Engine removal
I did in my 4X4. You will need to loosen the transmisison mount so it can move, but you also have to fully brace it for when the engine and tranny are pulled apart.
Remove the starter, then dust cover from the tranny. Remove all 4 bolts that connect the torque converter to the flexplate. Then use a small c-clamp and clamp it to the transmission housing where the dust cover usually nounts. Clamp it in such a way that it holds the torque converter into the transmisison.
When you lift the engine the tranny will move some, but if you have the tranny braced correctly you will not break anything.
