Default CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HELP

my wifes 2004 dodge grand caravans check engine light came on, its a "emissions system failure code" we found a line that was loose and put a clamp on it, i disconnected the battery and reset the code. it stayed off for about 4 days then came back on. i disconnected the battery once again the light stayed out for about 5 days then came back on. any suggestions? its a 3.3 liter with 50,000 miles, it does not run any different when the light is on.

Take it to AutoZone, Advance, Etc. They will check what the code is. 0142. P133 whatever. Once you have the actual codethen you can get some real help

New to the site. I you need any help diagnosing it I can help. I work at a Jeep, Chrysler dealership and see these things all the time. Usually check hoses,gas cap. It always turns out to be the NVLD pump most of the time.

What and where is the NVLD pump?

It is located under vehicle drivers side near the rack & pinion. There should be a metal shield under the van and it should above it held on bytwo bolts,10mm socket. One connecter andthree hoses. Hope this helps. Also make sure there are no cracked hoses under there either around the EVAP canister on drivers side also.
