These transmissions just have some issues with them. I'd only run Mopar ATF +4 in it nothing else. Other types like Dexron just seem to be causing problems.

As for a shift kit my APS one they built for me has a Transgo one in it with a reprogrammed valve body.

Where are you going to get one? Hopefully not the dealer? A shift kit should be nice in this thing and hopefully make it last longer as it shifts faster so doesn't cause it to get as hot when it shifts. Thats what I've read about them anyway. I'd try and find a new shop as maybe that one just doesn't like shift kits I really don't know. There are a lot of us running them just fine.

I'd also get a nice big transmission cooler I went with a B&M. Even with that stuff though it should help some but it will still have a lot of issues unless you get a company like APS to go through the transmission and replace them all. I'd personally run it until it dies before I did that though unless you are doing it for performance only.

I might would add a nice shift kit and nice cooler in there though.

COOL ILL LOOK INTO THAT KIT

IM JUST WORRIED BECAUSE OF IT WENT OUT ALLREADY AT 29,000
I HAVE CARS AND TRUCKS IN THE PAST WITH OVER 200,000 MILES AND NEVER A TRANS PROBLEM!!
I WENT TO INTERSTATE TRANS AND A SMALL GUY IN TOWN BOTH SAID NOT TO DO A TRANS KIT.

Im looking at a transgo kit. I hear pritty good responces from it. Additional trans cooler is a good idea as well. Iwant to install a temp gauge myself to see how mine is doing with one. I dont think im having an issue whatsoever, just curious.
