Default Front Axel Question.

Working on a truck i picked up at auction. I had to replace the axel u joints and the driver side axel shaft. I jus finnished the passenger side when my smart a** brother turned the wheel with the other shaft not in it.. I was wondering if that would drop the spider gears or harm anything. I am stillw aiting for the driverside shaft so if anyone knows if it wrecked anything I want to get started taking it apart and reshiming it.

Default RE: Front Axel Question.

It won'thurt anything. You will be fine. There are no shims on the front axle assuming it is a dana 44. There is a pin that holds the spider gears in place.
