Hmm.......double check your to make sure your wires are not crossed, also if the wires are touching each other;that could cause a misfire

Sounds like you missed a sequence....in my case my housing came off and allowed the wires to to sit on my headers and melted two of them but unless you did some major bumping around prob messed up the firing order as far as the idle, backfire no idea

Also make sure the gap on the plug is correct.

1. Check the service manual and make sure spark plug wires are not crossed.
2. Disconnect battery cables.
3. Remove both O2 sensors.
4. Remove exhaust system and catalytic converter.
5. Gut catalytic converter.
6. Install everything in reverse steps.

Mine just left medead on the side of road. I just got done putting back together. What a bitch. Yea, if you hook up a scanner you will not get any codes or check engine lights. Always replace your O2 sensors at 80,000 miles and every other interval listed in the manual. It will be like driving a new truck, except not making new truck payments!!

If it was running fine before the tune up. You probably inadvertanly screwed up the firing order. triple check that the plug wires are in the right sequence. I've been there an done that before.

Sounds like firing order, or you did not snap all the connections down. If you removed one, you may have torn itit loose on the inside. The 95's have a distributor that only goes on one way, but I had a Mazda that let me put it on backwards. Is the rotor the correct one? Is the distributor messed up inside. I would lable all the wires, lay them all out to the side, redo the whole thing. I just purchased a cap from Jegs and had to trim back some of the plastic that probably would not have hurt being there, I am just **** that way.

Thanks for all the tips folks.............it was the firing order. Even though I had checked them a couple of times I had the 3 and the 6 switched around. I fixed it now runs like a charm.

the next thing is the O2 sensor...........
