Have any of you run e85 or any other type of ethonal gasoline through your engines? If so I would like to hear about the experience as unbeknownst to many of you many of the gas stations claiming you are recieving unleaded are actually giving you ethonal...(can't say which ones, but need to know effects on older engines)

lets just say at least in oklahoma you will be hard pressed to find regular gas anywhere, and you should stop buying premium its no different from unleaded anymore.

e 85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas.
you need to convert your fuel pump filter lines and injectors to run it.
there are kits you can buy for it

all gas has been 10% ethanol for years now

I've never tried it In my truck (E-85) is not available in my area.

Your truck will probably run on it, but I would expect a loss of power and economy. Hard starting and possible check engine light.

Give it a try and report back. Try 1/4 tank of e-85 in see how it goes. If it's terrible then just dilute it with regular unleaded.

I'm interested in doing this as a project later on. How hard would conversion be? I know that the current second gen Dodge ram's hoses and pumps would be get damaged by e85, at least I read that somewhere.
