Ok so sometimes if im driving on the freeway or around town and I jam on the pedal, the gas gauge goes down from where the level of gas is about 1/4 of a tank, then i let off and it goes back to where it was. So I could have a full tank, but it looks like i have 3/4 tank and then i let off and it goes back to full. does anyone elses Ram do this? and does anyone know how to fix it?

When you jam the pedal does you butt sink into the seat???? Gas in tank does same thing..Punch Pedal, Pushes you back into seat, gas does same thing.
Gets pushed to back of tank. Your gauge moves. Stop hard & you the tank fills for a sec.

dodge does this for one reasson and its to show you that if your going to use your throttle to move the truck, your going to use some gas.andthe truck's sayingeventually you will have this much gas so keep it up and you'll have this much gas....get it. lol...lol...lol
when i floor it ,and go thru the gears, i look at the gas gauge to see how fast im going, not the speedo.hahahahah..lol

the silver alloy film on Chrysler fuel tank level senders
are easy to get 'poisoned' by excess sulfur in a bad batch of gasoline,
or the ceramic behind the film can crack
a few $10 bottles Chevron Techron Concentrate 'Plus'
{plus is important}
in two to three tanks of fuel
can sometimes clean off the sulfur 'crud'
and get the gauge to work better
but if the ceramic is cracked the sender has to be replaced
which is done most easily by tipping the truck bed up 45 degrees
to pull the fuel assembly...easier than dropping the tank down
'search' will find you more details
