I have a 97 1500 club cab. I just changed the shocks which were badly needed. Started hearing a clunking sound in the front end. Suspected shock installation but after inspection determined that this wasn't the case. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. Leaning towards the time that the truck was run on bad shocks maybe the new shocks caused some bushing to go ahead and go out? The truck has 150,000 miles on it and is a northern truck, alot of rust.

 

Front axel u-joint?? Mine made a distintive clunk when I was driving straight.. Could be any number of things.. more details if possible.
