So your thinking $300 for the a set of 5" coil springs and shocks? And as for the drop pitman arm, drop swaybar brackets, and longer control arms, what should I be looking for? I mean I kind of want to just keep picking away at the front end until it's "proper". I don't care for the coil spacers, they are just chincy.

The truck has 3" spacers on top of the offroad edition coils. So as hometheater says, I have 3" extra lift because of the spacers, and about 4.5" of overall lift. I'm a little confused with the trackbar I bought though. IT's 0-3" from trackbar. Don at Thuren said he thought I only needed that because the meer fact the stock trackbar was even functioning meant there was probably going 3" extra lift. So does that sound right I'm running a 0-3" adjustable trackbar right now? If you guys can help me find the drop pitman arm, drop sway brackets, coil springs and shocks, and control arms that will fit the trucks existing height, I would REALLY appreciate it. I'll save all the links, and slowly pick away at it as I can. This way my front end will be proper and I won't have to worry about anything getting worn out earlier than it has to be, thanks!

Money wise it would be a lot cheaper to just take the spacers out and run the offroad coils. That will still give you 1.5" of lift over a normal Ram.

If you want to 5" lift you need those parts like said above. As for the trac bar I'm guessing you need a drop bracket but I'm not exactly sure. Since you will have 5" of lift with 5" coils I'm not sure how a 3" trac bar would work that well. I don't know if you can use drop brackets on his trac bar or if you will need another trac bar. The reason you needed a new trac bar was probably because of those spacers that are wearing stuff out way faster than it would be if you had the right parts.

I would get rid of the lift for now until you can or want to spend the money on doing it correctly but if you really want to keep it you need those other parts.

Start looking on Pavementsucks.com in the forsale section as they fairly often have most of the parts for a 5" lift fairly cheap.

be cheaper to take out the spacer if it does not have the AAL in the rear , 1st i would get the control arms , you still have your truen trac bar ? i dont know if you can extend it out anymore ? or get a trac bar drop bracket.. but it be cheaper just to drop the coil spacers , and drop the rear AAL.. hell you mite make a couple buxs selling those items , then you dont have a headache on what length shock you have ...

Well won't that cause an issue with the 35" tires if I take the spacers and the AAL out? Also, I really like the liftkit as well, I'd be sad if my truck was lower lol.

I don't know, I'd rather just start parting it out as I go. The truck seems to ride fine and I don't really have the money to be farting around. I mean, the trackbar I have now is functioning. It wouldn't be a differance if I got 5" shocks and coil springs than it is now right? It's 4.5" with the spacers, and the trackbar works right now. So if I took the spacers out and got 5" coilsprings and shocks it'd be the same height right? What's the first thing you guys think I should though? Get the 5" coilspacers and shocks first? Then the control arms? I am really not interested in dropping it down, and I like the lift, but I'm willing to pick away at making it right in a slow manner. Even if this lift may be eating some parts up, they've seeem to hold up since I've had the truck since last summer. Anyway, does rancho make 5" coil springs and shocks? Or is that something I could get from Fabtech? Is it possible to piece out Fabtech parts from their lifts? I just dont want to spend $1400 at once. I'd rather spend a year piecing it together, it's just mentally easier.

I bet most of the companys make 5" coils you can get seperately. I'd probably personally go with Skyjacker for the coils but thats just me. If you change to 5" coils and don't add the rest of those things you need you will be in the same position you are now where it's too much lift for those parts. I would take the spacers out and leave it like that until I could afford all the parts needed to make it right if it was me. If you run it with just the lift and without the other parts it will cost you a lot more in the long run as you will have parts worn out that didn't need to be worn out. I'd either do it right or remove it. I just don't like doing stuff halfway. I like stuff done right.

I agree, and usually that's what I do. In fact, it's why I want to pick away at the halfass job the previous owner did. I don't want to spend $1200 on a kit though. I'd rather do it piece by piece as I can afford it. I want to get rid of the spacers and buy 5" coils and shocks. Then I will slowly pick away at the other things like the control arm, pitman, sway brackets etc. The shocks are bad right now though, and the truck rides in a straight line, so I'm half golden right now. I think the first thing I'd like to do is establish a base with the lift in the front. Theres no use in building a truck around spacers, that's just silly. Once I get the solid front end of a coil spring and shock, then I'll defiantly be spending the bucks to buy the right parts. For now, I just continue to keep on my balance, rotations, and allignments, and just look after everything as I can. Does this sound like a good idea. I do want it to be right. I could be a halfass guy and just leave it the way it is, but I want to know it's something that's right and won't eat my front end up. The truck actually rides amazingly straight I will say. The mud tires are a little obnoxious and pull the truck around a little bit, but I think once I get a smooth treaded tire, the truck will ride nice and smooth, and the allignments will come out better because the tires will wear better.

Balancing and rotating the tires and having alignments done do nothing to help out the front end parts that have more stress than optimal on them. If it was my truck like I said I'd take it back to stock and maybe buy the pieces as I can afford them but not put them on until I had them all together before I wore out everything in the front end and instead of spending $1000 on lift kit spend $2500 to replace all the front end parts. Thats just me though. You may get lucky and not have anything go bad or wear out super fast but I wouldn't risk it. Or instead of getting the coils just buy the rest of the parts you need put them on and down the road when you can afford it then go with the coils instead of spacers. The coils would probably be the last thing I did if I wanted to keep that lift and do it piece by piece.

Ok,that sounds like a plan. I will do the coils last. What is the first thing you think I should buy next for the front end that will make the most impact on saving the front end and making the lift "proper"?

I don't know. If you put one thing it may throw the rest out of wack. I don't know if it will or not.
