GladI could help. The little metal swirls may be residual from the slippage caused by the TV cable. As long as it wasn't solid metal flakes I think you'l lbe OK for now. If you get any slippage in the near future you may want to adjust the band, one adjustment inside the pan, the other outside the casing. You'll need to do a search here in the forum for torque and setting specs for your truck. Not sure what they are myself.
