There are lots of ways for small power gains. You can do basic mods like a Round Air Cleaner or Edlebrock Pro Flow. You can get a CAI but the round air filters seem to be more liked. You can get an exhaust, programmer or pcm flash, and a few things like that for small power gains. Headers are also a option although it seems like guys with them are always working on them so that makes me not want them. After that you could do a cam or roller rockers. Another thing is a 408 stroker build if you aren't on a budget or a supercharger. Those are the two things for big power.

i think the programmer gives you the most bang for your buck. I picked up my Superchips for around $350 and then brought it to the track. I never tested it as "stock" but to get an idea i ran it once in the 87 octane (gas saver), once in the towing performance, and once in performance. I dont remember exact times, but I have approximates. The 87 octane gave me pretty much a stock setting but was easier than returning to stock.
87: 16.9 @ 70mph
Towing: 16.8 @ 70mph
Performance: 16.5 @ around 75mph.
As you can see, the performace setting dropped me down almost 1/2 a second in the 1/4 with arout 5mph higher trap... which is not bad at all for $300. Again, the number themselves may be off, but the actual change in numbers are exact as far as I can remember.
