Default superchip programmer?

I have a superchip proagrammer and i was reading about it and it says to use 91 octane gas. Can you just use 87 octane gas? And are there any bad effect if you use 87 octane gas?

I believe the superchips programmer has an "economy" setting that can be used with 87 octane. The other settings highly recommend the higher octane.

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

As far as i know you pretty much hit the nail on the head, you could use 87 octane but that wouldnt be the best of ideas

Yes that's correct. My Superchips has three settings: 87 octane, tow and performance.

The 87 octane uses what it says and the the other two settings recommendat least 91 octane.

Does the 87 octane level still gain you horsepower?
