I just saw in another post you made you have 265's on your truck if you have not recallabrated your speedo for the new size tires you are not getting a accurate reading on your milleage anyway.
[/blockquote]
...This statement rasied a fewquestions for me. By this statementwith bigger tires your not getting correct milage right? So you odometer would be notdisplayingcorrect number of miles? So say the truck has had 35's on it for 8 out of its 11 years with no correction, would that mean the milage shown is too low or too high?

UGH!!! I dont like that answer, as I know my truck has been lifted with bigger tires for most of its life and it already displays 190k on the odometer!

That answer is correct as long as the speedo has not been recalibrated. When I swapped to 35 i recalibrated to be sure of mpg's and speed traps

There has been no recalibration done! I have drivin by many speen traps and its always off! In 35 mph zones my speedo says 34-35 the sign says 38-39!

If the truck averaged the same mileage each year then 73% of the mileage was incorrrect
190x.73 = 138.7 x 1.13=156.7 (od error approx w/35s)
190-138.7=51.3 (accurate mileage in first 3yrs)
156.7+51.3= 208k actual mileage approx.

another option to correct the milagedifferential would be to take off the 35s and put on a set of 12" Ford festiva wheels and run them for 2 yrs...then all your milage will ballance out .You can but a set of 12" rims and new tires for around $69.00..Not bad huh? and trust me ,,,,the girls will be looking your way....Everyone will be looking !
