Question about the dodge indys
Paint, stripes, window decal, door decals (150 of them had track duties for 96 Indy race) AR17x9 rims w/GY Eagle GTII 275/60/17, the exhaust gave them 10hp more than stock 5.9s at the time. Adding a catback on any other 94-97 5.9makes them equal in hp. 98 & beyond had the same hp.
I found one for sale if anyone is interested in it my 01 is fine for me. It's at Collision Works there website is www.litewreck.com. I don't know what's wrong with it I just saw it in a magazine and wanted to know about the truck.
I know mine wasnt there cause its a Canuck truck (kph on speedo/od) and I got it off the lot 2weeks before the race date on the door lol.
No real way of truely knowingwhich of the 2802 madewere at the race. The 150 were #d in 3 different locations on the truck cab/windows but some other owners were known to add them after the race even though their trucks didnt participate.
At the time of them being new, owning one was insane. I couldnt believe what happened driving it around the first year or so. Driving down middle of 6/7 lane two way roads I would get vehicles circling it while driving usually someone leaning out with thumbs up yelling let her rip or that usual line "That have a Viper motor?" (asked maybe 1000 times or more) Trucks had low hp back then and besides being noted as a Pace truck they also were painted to match the 94 VTS, concept Dodge V10 Sema truck which was the original viper motor'd truck (450hp/450trq) Much bigger pics of the VTS n others on my wallpaper page
