Well, honestly.. brass should look like brass.. I got the accel cap and it looks.. well... like brass...8MM is a better choice... and recommended here.. at least 8MM.. I run 8.5MM.. these trucks have a tendancy to " ignite" other wires if they are too close so 8MM will help prevent this..I'm sure someone else familiar with the brand can tell you better if what you have is truely brass.. I'm not sure.. but all the brass I've seen looks "goldish" in color.. if it is brass.. it may have a coating on top?? if your really unsure... call Summit, give them the part # of the cap and rotor.. let them tell you if it is or not. If it turns out to be the wrong rotor.. while your sending it back.. send the wires too and ask to change to 8MM...

I noticed a smoother idle when I went from 7mm wires to the MSD 8.5m wires, but the 7mm will work. Taylor does make good wires, the 8.2mm wires made by them are quite good.

I've not seen a brass rotor, just brass terminals on the distributor cap.

OK.. well, as Aim said.. they will work.. but 8MM will give you some protection.. might want to think about it...as for the cap and rotor.. I'd call Summit .. I know the caps are running brass.. but honestly.. as Aim said.. I cant remember what my rotor was when I put it in... and that was today!! LOL...( getting old sucks!!..) Dont settle.. if you use what you have and it doesnt perform.. your gonna replace it and spend more money.. if you want 8MM, and brass.. get it now while you can still send it back...or.. send it back.. go to a good parts store and get what you want...( Napa...fishers..)
