Default tranny slipping, 1st to 2nd, p1740

Hi there guys yesterday on my way home the check engine light came on along with a strong slipping from 1st to 2nd gear. the code stored in the PCM is p1740, i have read many threads here and other dodge sites but still wondering is it the
torque converter clutch and/or overdrive solenoid, or is it the torque converter itself?

the tranny was rebuilt about 100,000 miles ago for the same problem but i did not jump right on the preblem as i plan to do this time.

So i guess my question is:do you think it is time to get a new tranny, or is there hope?
