The Infinity speakers made for Chrysler Corp. are made by the lowest bidder and the amps are assembled the same way. Some of them are simply screwed to the speaker and some are glued and screwed. Some of them have soldered wires and some have connectors.

The factory Chrysler radios are considered to be a high powered unit so they will work with another high powered radio as well. But if you have a high quality head unitboasting 220 watts of true power you should bypass the Infinity amps. You're losing power! Probably increasing your distortion level by a magnitude too!

Your speakers are the most important part of a sound system!

Yes, that is a small amp. When I replaced my stock Infinitys with better aftermarket Infinitys, I just cable tied the little suckers onto the sides of the new speakers. As long as you do it right, they won't get in the way of anything.
lol I ended up doing the exact same thing yesterday, although the right speaker needs to be a little tighter, since it's rattling a bit. When my dad looked it over, though, he said we oughta just bolt it to the door, which would probably be better.

Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem any more, I got both speakers working great yesterday, and they sound really good. $42 for a pair of Pioneer 3-way 6x9's that sound better than stock isn't bad at all, expecially since one replacement speaker from the dealer would be around $220.. I'm going to rewire my head unit and speakers, though, and go with either soldering and shrink tubing, or some butt connectors instead of the regular electrical tape I went with, since I could already tell the tape was unravelling on the driver side speaker.
