Default exhuast

right now i have a flowmaster 40seris dual out the rear of the truck.. i like the sound... but i want somethin a little louder... any suggestions on other flowmaster or other exhausts....

According to Flowmaster, the Super 44 is very slightly louder/more aggressive.

Otherwise, yeah, put a high flow cat on it or gut the current one.

You could also some tips on the ends to make it louder.

right now i have 3 1/2inx21in tips on the pipes... anyone know about the 50 or 70 seris? dont wanna gut the cat.. wanna keep them the way they are

A 50 or 70 series will not be as loud as your current setup.

Cherry bombs is the other alternative I forgot about.

i had a 40 series on my 5.2l and replaced it with a y pipe and now i have a deep growl atidle and an aggressive roar when i floor it.

If you still are running the stock cat with that exhaust system, I would personally remove it and have it gutted, then put it back on. It made a world of differance of making my exhaust go from loud to obnoxious, and I love it. I run the Super 44, but you can get the idea of the two differances. I remember the system being incredibly loud when it was first installed, but I just wanted to bring it to the next level of crackling and obnoxiousness, and it sure kicked it in the butt. Not to mention, it also freed up some torque for me.
