Default Cat Gutting

Yeah I know you guys hate the Ford, but need a pointer. My brother runs a 2.5" true dual on his truck. He would like to have the cats gutted, and he wants to know if that will mess with any check engine lights etc? Thanks Guys.

yes if he has any oxygen sensors after the cat, if not then he will be ok. If he does pickup oxygensimulators, and they will fool the computer

I know he has one of the sensors that goes directly into one of the cats. Not sure if the other sensor goes before or after the cat on the other side. So are you saying if a sensor is on the cat or after the cat, this will cause troubles?

yes, put the sensor before the cat or get a sim. Sim is IMO the best idea then you dont have to move sensors and there wont be any questions to why they were moved by inspections
