Default my first post..Can I use the newer shocks as direct fit?

Hey guys,, I recently purchased a 1997 ram 2500 4x4 with 120,000 mi and the shocks look to be the originals.. Was lookin around for some used low mi. oem replacements on the cheap but all i can find out there are the 2002 and up variety. Can I get use out of these on my ram?Look forward to some good info at this site thanks

Doubtful, if you want a smooth ride like the OEM shocks, try Monroe sensatracs.

I run the Edlebrock IAS performers and love them. They're a little firmer than the OEM's, but handle much better IMO.

Welcome to the forum!

thanks for the welcome! glad to find this site... Yeah, just basic shocks to replace my rusty, swiss cheese looking shocks. Found where the new take-offs are very inexpensive.. was hoping that they would bolt up.
