I think the seat belt switch is an input to the Central Timer Module (body computer)
and the CTM turns off the light.

Yes, I have. There is no switch in the buckle; there is a plug in the bottom of the mechanism as well as on top. The bottom is the lock mechanism because when I unplug it, it locks; I replug it, it's free. Therefore, the top plug has to be the sensor for the light. I've tried my old belt mechanism and got the same result. I've also tried unplugging the upper plug, and jumping it, and still that darn light stays on. Does the body controller store "trouble codes" because during the process I kinda fried the IOD fuse, and it may be from that....
