Default Need a lil info

I need to get a set of Door Locks, cylinder and all. I don't care what key I have to use, as long as they work and they fit. Can someone help me out with price and quality of door locks? Rockauto seems to have the best, 17 dollars +ship for Airtex brand.

Also, my stabilizer bar links are in tact, but I was wondering if getting new ones while Installing my Tie Rod End's and shocks would be worth the extra 14-20 bucks (also from Rockauto).

And for time's sake, if someone can break it down as to the least messiest way to change ATF fluid. I'll be headin out to get 6 qts of Mopar +4, and if I need 2 more I'll use Castrol or Advance brand +4. Anyone tried the Auto-Transmission Lucas oil in our transmissions? It's good stuff, just would like to know if anyone had any trouble with it as these transmissions are the most peculiar.

Thanks.

Trans fluid change:

I wouldn't use anything but ATF+4.

Man, I just got done reading through that. lol. I'm just more curious as to the method of the least messiest way to do it. I was reading through a thread but can't seem to find it and forgot the title, but posts ended up talking about "trash bags" and "garbage can lids with holes in the center" for changing out the ATF fluid.

I really could use more insight to the locks though. I've had this truck for about 8 months now and never have been able to unlock the driver side door from the outside (someone tried to break in apparently).

Why do you need new locks? Did someone try breakin in and broke em, or are they just not working. If they aren't working, try pushing the key in a little bit and shooting some WD-40 in them.

Well, have you ever seen a lock after someone tried using a screwdriver to open it? It's kinda like that. the teeth dont align right. I noticed there's not many posts about door lock's, so I'm kinda lost here. I'm only worried about the brand and the cylinder fitting properly, not so much the installation or the key. I know I can go to a dealer and get everything corrected, but for the trouble of just adding another key, it's not worth it.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Airtex product on Rockauto.com 23 dollars total.

Now, I want to change out my ATF fluid and my Brake fluid, and I have a little pamphlet (sp?) from Advance on how to do it. It says to use a vacuum to suck out the fluid from the master cylinder, replace it, then begin bleeding. 2 questions;

1) What kind of fluid does our trucks use best? I was thinking of getting a Synthetic performance dot 4 liquid from prestone or valvoline.

2) Is it good to use a vacuum pump? I remember my UTI friend being taught that vacuuming or sucking out the brake fluid isn't the best. If so, how do you get the fluid out from the master cylinder? If I understand correctly, you can attach a clear hose into a bottle with a little brake fluid on the bottom, and have someone pump the brake pad until you see no more bubbles, then refilling the master cylinder with more brake fluid. repeat x3.
