the irs checks ???
I got mine on fri morning. Wasn't taxed tho. $600 even was deposited in my account. I did some work for my mothers friend and she payed me with a scooter. It dosent start rite now so i'll prob. fix that with the money. I wanted a real motorcycle but this came along and at 68 mpg I can't complain. I will admit that a heavily tattooed guy riding a scooter will prob. look a lil funny but 68 vs 10-14 mpg thats ok. besides I could always earn extra $$$ delivering chinese food lol
it'll help offset the $20k that i'm spending remodeling the house. lets see, $1200 is almost half the cost of kitchen appliances, or almost half the cost of upstairs carpet. 1200 is aboutthe cost of the hardwood floor in one room and the ceramic tile in the baths. but oops, its only half the cost of the granite counter in each bath. i've done my part for the economy. The IRS also bases it on how much income you make. If she made to much (over $75000), they take the amount she makes over that, multiply it by 5%, and thats how much they subtract from her check.
If she only received $483, and she files her taxes as single (not married), then...
600 - ((A - 75000) x .05) = 483
600 = 483 + ((A - 75000) x .05)
600 = 483 + (.05A - 3750)
117 = .05 x A - 3750
3867 = .05 x A
77340 = A
So she must have claimed an income of approximately $77,340 on her tax return for 2007. And that is why she only got $483.
If you make under $75000 a year singly, or if you are married filing jointly under $150000 a year, you should be getting the full $600 or $1200, respectively.

Oh, and as a side note, my wife and I decided to buy some shotguns (home defense and hunting), a pistol (home defense), and maybe some mountain bikes with the money, rather than spend it on the truck. Oh well, I do get some guns out of it, at least.
The truck just has to wait a little longer.
