cut your cat off, take something and clean out the inside of it, then take a piece of exhaust pipe (2.5 inch maybe) and run it through the center of the cat. This will allow the air to flow straight through the cat without creating a bottle, then weld/clamp it back on. thats the best way I know to explain it, hope that helps, good luck

p.s - Ive heard from some guys on here that running the exhaust without a cat can cause your pipe tips to become dirty constantly and erode them. If your only looking to make your truck louder consider cutting the muffler off instead. Thats what Im doing.

The problem with the Cats on 2nd Gen Rams is that they are a "2 into 1" design. Both exhaust pipes merge into 1 via the CAT. What I did was:

1. Unbolt the exhaust from the Manifolds and unscrew the 02 sensors before/after the cat
2. Cut the pipe behind the cat (within 6 inches of the CAT preferably)
3. Remove the Y-pipe/CAT assembly
4. I took a long piece of rebar and just beat the honeycomb material out of the CAT (takes a while of breaking it out and shaking it all out)
5. Put it all back in, weld the pipe back together, screw in the 02 sensors

Enjoy the newfound power/sound!
