My engine light came on so i used the on/off method to find out what them number was, and 1740 is what came up. Does anyone know what this means?

 

I don't have that code listed in any of my manuals, but you shouldn't be getting a four digit code with the key trick anyway. It will flash two digit codes. Also, any codes that you get using that method won't end in a zero.

 

1740 Either the tcc solenoid or overdrive solenoid systems doesn't seem to be making much sense.
