Default What are these?

These where in the bed when i got the truck. I don't know what they are for. I'm thinking that I can use them to hold down my spare Instead of chaining it to my tool box. For all I know thats what they are there for. Anyone know?

Thanks guys, I'm tired of the chain that locks my spare up banging around in the back. Espically now that the windows are open. I'm gonna try to bolt the tire down there. I just have to figure out how to lock it. Have a few ideas guess. I'll be going to the depot in the morning

Aren't there things like that where you can clip hooks into them to like tie stuff to? My uncle has some things that look like that on his trailer that he has hooks I think that clip into them that you can tie stuff down too.

I saw the wheel props, the first few I saw looked like they hold it up on like a 45* angle, I prefer for it to sit flat. I had it standingagainst the toolboxfor a couple of days but it blocked my view. Lots of little cars here. My trucks not super high(pretty much stock with 33's) but a small car like a civic or mini can dissapear back there. Last thing I need is to get smacked in to by some little idiot when I stop a little to quick. You see those smart cars yet? They're like 8' long, rear end me in one ofthose and my trailer hitch will break your teeth before you dent the bumper. I'm gonna try to put the tire back there, as long as it dosen't look ghetto.

I have seen these tracks before... I actually work with them. we use them to clip straps into to te down wheelchairs in vans. the straps have a part on the end of them that clip into the track so you can change the position of the strap. I know it sounds odd but thats the best description I can come up with right now... next time you see a wheelchair van parked by a hospital or dr. office take a look inside at the way the straps are cliped in, but I warn you the drivers of these vans have sort of a reputation for being very cranky people who want nothing to do with human contact.

they are not over the axel, they are right at the edge of the bed maybe 4-6 inches. the wheelchair thing sounds good too, I thought maybe he put a bike back there.
